Ah Christmas time, a time for coming together in unity, peace on earth, good will towards men, presents, cold weather, hot cocoa, mistletoe and cheer. A time for meals with family, a time for a wonderful life, miracles and satan worship. Wait, what? Yeah that’s right I said satan worship. If you claim to follow the Messiah Yahosha, the only Begotten of the Father and you celebrate this unholy day, you have more to be concerned about than you previously thought. Yeah, yeah I know. But what will grandma say if I don’t come for Christmas dinner? Odds are she’ll have plenty to say when you tell her that Christmas is an abomination to Yah, the Elohim of Israel. Look, this was very difficult for me to come to grips with, as Christmas had always been a fond time of year for me. However, leaving Babylon means leaving Babylon, and that includes leaving everything that comes from Babylon in Babylon, period. Yah demands obedience from us, nothing less, and so in the midst of great protestation regarding the ceasing to celebrate Christmas I must remind you:
34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword, 35 for I have come to bring division, a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – 36 and a man’s enemies are those of his own household. 37 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.38 “And he who does not take up his stake and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
Leviticus chapter 23 clearly lists all of the feast days that Yah commands us to keep and Christmas isn’t on the list, neither is Easter which is another unholy pagan satanic day that will be the subject of another post. The fact is that Christmas has nothing to do with Yahosha, or His birth, which by the way, nowhere in scripture are we told to celebrate; in fact we are commanded to watch for His return. If you continue to celebrate this abominable unholy day after receiving the truth that Yah has forbidden any such act, then you are destined to be appointed a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And any who would respond that “even though it may be pagan, it can still be made to be about Yahosha in order to ‘witness’ to people”, well they’re just sell-outs who think they can mix the set-apart truth of Yah with the profane. Knowing that Christmas goes against Yah and His Torah and then continuing to celebrate it is just not a good idea.
14 “And to the messenger of the assembly in Laodikeia write, ‘The Amĕn, the Trustworthy and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of Elohim, says this; 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. 16 “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. 17 “Because you say, ‘Rich I am, and I am made rich, and need none at all,’ and do not know that you are wretched, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked. 18 “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so that you become rich; and white garments, so that you become dressed, so that the shame of your nakedness might not be shown; and anoint your eyes with ointment, so that you see. 19 “As many as I love, I reprove and discipline. So be ardent and repent. 20 “See, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I shall come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’ ”
Revelation 3: 14-22
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I do not wish to be vomited out of my Messiah’s mouth. As stated above, this will be a big shock to those of you with ears to hear, and it will be difficult to tear yourself away from years of family celebrations, traditions, and cherished memories, however the question is; which do you love more, cherished memories or Yahosha, the one who died to take away the sins of the world?
“If you love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15
I was rather surprised that the Christmas tree is in the scriptures, and yet there it is:
1 Hear the word which יהוה (Yah) speaks to you, O house of Yisra’ĕl. 2 Thus said יהוה (Yah), “Do not learn the way of the gentiles, and do not be awed by the signs of the heavens, for the gentiles are awed by them. 3 “For the prescribed customs of these peoples are worthless, for one cuts a tree from the forest, work for the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. 4 “They adorn it with silver and gold, they fasten it with nails and hammers so that it does not topple. 5 “They are like a rounded post, and they do not speak. They have to be carried, because they do not walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they do no evil, nor is it in them to do any good.” Jeremiah 1:5
Yeah, I used to take great care to make sure that the Christmas tree was level, sturdy and “adorned” beautifully every year, not having any idea that it was, and is, an abomination to my Elohim. The hour is getting late and choices will have to made, whom will you serve? And whom do you love, Yah our Elohim, or cherished memories? This subject is a sore one to be sure; most will not see the truth even though it is right in front of them, sadly because they choose not to see it. But, those who have eyes to see and ears to hear will be able to hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
Below I have just a couple of links that explain the pagan origins of Christmas far better than I ever could; I encourage you to check them out, and to also do some additional research on your own as there is a lot information out there to be gleaned.
